Quoting: dreadlock sasquatchThank you, I appreciate it. I suppose you're suggesting this "GENTLE TUG" will aggravate the New Madrid Fault, causing it to rip the USSA in half? |

Doubt it, there have been many of those in TN thru the years, plus there is a fault line running down the eastern side of TN. Larger quakes have to happen before I get too worried about the NM fault. While passing thru on a trip I stopped in New Madrid, just to look around. The town is right on the bend of the Mississippi River, with neighborhoods right on the other side of the levee. I could not believe how close. We drove up onto the levee and right there, the river and on the other side, right there, the town. Way too close. It was sort of a shocker, but I guess the people who live there must not be worried at all. |

Quoting: breoh goody. i just love the names they come up with. surprised this one isn't called gentle kill tho. i live in ne tenn, didn't feel it. Yeah, their masonic lingo really pisses me off. Pulling the BOP up will be like pulling out a weed. As they pull the BOP out, a good portion of the sea floor will come out with it, creating a gaping, gaseous, oily hell. |
