there IS some stupid advice here. and any car newer than 95 (OBD 2) Would certainly benefit from having a scan tool. assuming the computer has a code in it, and OP stated the engine light is not on. How ever, I disagree that this is all bull shit info. I replaced a transmition in my driveway last month. and some other replies here, yours too, are half way intelegent.


I know that, but I thought I might get a few intelligent suggestions before I go spend $100.00 just to have it hooked up to a computer.

Just kidding about the muffler bearings.


Autozone will put the computer on it for free BTW.
