Odd Moon Placement/Angle of Rotation?

I've also noticed. Don't know what it could mean.

In addition to the moons movement, Venus has been rather inconsistent as well. I havent watched Venus for as long so I may be mistaken about this, but it is something worth investigating, no?

It has also seemed rather close and lower to the horizon. Often the moon ends up over head but its as if it never gets to that peak before heading towards the horizon once again.

+100 I agree but feel out of place for even thinking that. Why wouldn't astrologists be putting this in my horoscope??

Well its a sound feeling that comes when you arent the only one thinking this stuff. Anyone else seeing one or more of these happenings? What regions?

So, tell me, since you're in the know, could some of this (which I have also noticed in the last couple of years) have anything to do with the Earth axis being a few degrees different since Dec. 2004, as well as the LOD that resulted from this too?

Jacksonville, Fla here, and last night I saw the moon like I've never seen it before, ever.
It was so low to the horizon and Huge.
It looked like something from sci fi.
Right around 7:00 pm, and really all you could
see was an orange sliver around the bottom and
right of it. It was gigantic and I guess
I've never seen it from this angle.
I live in NC, but I don't know if that
accounts for the perspective shift,
doesn't seem like it would be much different.
Even if it's normal, it was awesome to behold.

That article does not talk about anything remotely like a shift of a few degrees. It is minuscule.

And you would be better off using a planetarium program to predict where the Moon should be.

I could just be a massive dumbass.

My wife and I too have been noticing it acting oddly. Regardless of what some are telling you, the moon has been acting strangely for the past year or maybe more. I have been taking notice for several months now and have an astronomy program which is pretty good. There has been a change in something which has made it rotate or change of placement...or more likely, the earth changed due to the earth quakes in Chile and Japan...but something is definitely different about the moon's activity.

Nope. It's right where it's suppose to be. Took a pic of it last night and compared it to Stellarium. Matches up perfectly.

tonight is sunday 8/25/12. I was sitting outside and looking up at the moon for no real reason. The moon was at a 45 degree angle in perspective to me facing foward. Suddenly, HUGH cloud mass was passing in front of it as I watched it. I was stunned to realize as the clouds moved I realized the moon wasn't where it was as my eyes were glued to it. Now within a short time it moved to the left of itself so it was at like a 30 degree perspective from where I was looking. I was stunned. I never saw the moon move but only this HUGH cloud mass but when it passed the moon was moved. Actually, the moon wasn't in the place I'd normally see it to begin with. Three hours later at 11:30 pm est. it was way far to the right which I knew wasn't right either. I called a friend in Arizona and told her about this and she wasn't shocked and said she knew of someone who gave a prophecy about this sort of thing happening last year. She went outside and acknowledged her positioning was far too right for her time zone at that moment which would have been 8:30 in arizona. Did ANYONE see this event? ANYONE. I saw this in est. at 8:30 pm

LOL, nice try. Your moon-edge ragged pixelation gave you away. The photos match because they're the same photos, with one blurred.
