the only thing I see wrong, is that before humans came up with the term physics, it didn't exist. Therefore the big bang etc etc could not fall into the laws of physics. He's just another crackpot loser with only theories.

Not a single person here has put in a legitimate point let alone an argument that could disprove Hawkings discoveries and theories.
First of all who ever spells stupid as stoopid.. is stupid.
Second, No one controls the future, nor the present and sure as hell not the past.
None of you have even discussed anything related to the topic at hand, dumb fucks..

His theories include quantum gravity.. which is all ideas, he never claimed any of his theories as absolute, he's definetly not a crackpot, he's one of the smartest men in the world. His theories are out there, and if you except them as plausable or not that's up to you, otherwise if you want to act like you have some superior knowledge that disproves him.. either shut the fuck up cause your stupid, or tell the world.

So if you think that it is possible to have something that doesnt need a beginning, why cut out the messy, complicated part and go directly to the UNIVERSE doesnt need a beginning, as TIME did not exist "before" the universe. I put before in quotes because it becomes nonsensical to talk about before and after when you are speaking of something that is without time.

Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Well i agree with you that he is incredibly intelligent and worthy of his notoriety. I simply think that when someone incredibly intelligent in such specific fields begins to discuss his theories regarding the laws of creation he should leave his opinions about the existence or nonexistence of a creator out of it. If he wants to have a conversation regarding divinity he should first prove that he understands that divinity is not found in the physical world. Only hints of divinity can be found within the patterning of physical reality, and once he makes it clear that he understands this then I will be more than happy to take his beliefs on the subject with more than the tiniest fleck of sand.

I'm certainly intelligent enough to know that there are infinite wonders in this world that we're no where near discovering, or understanding.

When these physicists make a statement such as that, then I'll have more respect for them. It takes an open mind, and Hawking's is completely closed.

Dude.... The guy said black holes suck up matter than disappear .. DISAPPEAR!

Which is physically impossible, and had every other physicist calling the guy a crackpot until he came forward and admitted he was wrong. I'm curious to what actually does go on in that man's head, I'm sure he's intelligent, but he's also overrated.

But its ok for clergy to voice THEIR OPINION? They have just as much evidence for their claims for god as Hawking has against.
