If TPTB want to expand their wealth, tell them to do it without the use of free labor and protection provided by the good men and women of the United States Military.

It is not your job to protect the construction of infrastructure for the oil/gas companies of the world.

It's time they respected our men and women of the military and stopped sending them abroad to die in phony wars.

Bring our troops home and let China PAY for protection or send their own troops there!!

I'm glad to read some voices of reason on GLP. Too many people blindly support the govt. and military because they feel for the troops. You have to look behind the facade and see the farce that sending our troops to the middle east has become. There was NEVER a valid reason for them to go in the first place. All was BULLSHIT, based on lies, disinformation, and false assumtions. Bring them all home I say and stop pushing the military, industrial, complex agenda.

Not sure what you are tying to do here OP, but if you are trying to reach those in command or even soldiers, sailors airmen, coastguard or marines, wouldn't it be best to post this in a military forum? Perhaps create a page on Facebook/Myspace/account on Twitter and other sites and link them together?

Perhaps a military forum or two and try to get someone active duty to discuss. You MUST also include ideas or suggestions as most humans no matter where they live or what they do for a living need to be told what to do.

I hate to see you expend energy and nothing come of it. The fruits of our labor should be rewarded after all.

dude, those who enlist to military service are not exactly rocket scientists...more like people who have no other options in life (must suck when even McDonalds is not hiring you but army takes anyone who can tie their shoelaces) or why else anyone would want a job where pay sucks & your life is threatened on daily basis.

It's not the military who need to get this message as they don't have any choice. It's the clueless taxpayers...the stateside folk...the god and guns and we're-a-christian-nation-and hate-brown people brigade, all nice and comfy in their homes. They think we're there so they don't come and get us over here.

Sounds like a bunch of posters here have never served. Whether you agree or disagree with American foreign policy, why bash those men and women who are serving in the military by their own choice? And have anyone of you gone through the pain of what it takes to leave your love ones at home, or what it does to your family as a unit?

Come on guys...lighten up. I for one salute our military. And yes I am a veteran.

We bash them because they are murderers. They steal money from us to go around the world and kill people. Whenever they get killed we move one step closer to a peaceful world.

Obviously you have never served in the military...either in peace time or in times of conflict. You have no idea how to protect this country or yourself for that matter. Peace comes from military conflict regardless of what you are led to believe in.

Most attack or insult or hurt others because they themselves are weak to begin with and do not know how to come up with plans for the betterment of themselves and/or others; so, instead you ATTACK others physically, verbally or emotionally. YOU AC...you do it at work, home, school, through the media, via entertainment and on forums and amongst your friends, family and enemies.

Someone that is STRONG and mentally acceptable does NOT need to bash others as they get nothing done. It is equivalent to yelling fuck you at another motorist on the road...does anything change? Perhaps you feel better yelling fuck you, but everything stays the same and neither party is any better off or worse off than before.

Attacking, insulting anyone from friends to family, colleagues, governments, religious/non-religious, soldiers, the poor/rich or whatever DOES NOT bring about change or a peaceful world as you say it does. It simply causes more problems at times/chaos and is essentially ad hominem.

Perhaps you could just look at the world map to see how many conflicts are going on in this world and count the number of conflicts the USA is involved in. Then count the other number of other flags at war. You might be surprised. I am sure you can say we are covertly involved in many of them, but bottom line is that the US is targeting a specific terrorist group no matter where in the world they maybe hiding or operating. And the reason we are targeting them is quite simple...peace in the world. Many of the world conflicts today involve this terrorist group, either directly or with a proxy.

You can use oil or personal vendetta or anyother logic you want, but what needs to be done...must get done. I don't like war anymore than anyone else...but is a method that proves to work time and time again for peace.

If you think the current Middle East peace talks are going to work...then you are going to be in for a big surprise.

This country is going off the cliff. Its gone. Just worry about yourself and your family.

Look OP, the US soldiers are good people, and you cannot expect things to just change over night. It is good that we, the world's greatest economy and most illuminated sexually aware nation, are putting our people out there, in easily recognizable clothes, with the ability to project force unto those who are not cool with freedom!

So please, if you got something nice to say, then do so.

But it serves nothing to just whine. Especially when our nation has been pretty darn good to the world, we've given tons of grain and tech and shit to our enemies, and then we put our own sons and daughters out there to defend the supply lines that get you our grain and tech and shit. You could at least give some constructive criticisms?

I personally think Gen. McChrystal was trying to do that, and if it were up to me I'd give that guy a bigger voice because you have to try to get these soldiers to forget about their trigger, they have to learn good recon before it ever becomes a trigger situation. Gen. McChrystal seemed to be trying to reshape their minds, and I sense he was derailed by some traitorous element who doesn't want our soldiers to learn anything except trigger finger as their solution. It does not work that way in the modern age.

Also, there is a war brewing where one side holds women in slavery, and the other has allowed there women to have more contribution to the society. One side is held by religion, and the other has tried to moderate religion in this modern age.

I will be with the side that defends the lady and her honor, not the side that buries ans stones her, carves her, and throws acid.
