This thread spooked me into doing yard work all weekend. Then, I started thinking about the birds and the bugs. If I were an evil overlord, I'd have bird and bug minions to do my outdoor spying. interesting article from 2007 :-) wonder if any tech advancements have been made since then? US accused of making insect spy robots [ link to www.telegraph.co.uk] Oh Grrrreeeeeaaaat..... A while back I was doing some yard work. There was an insect that looked kind of like a bumble bee hovering around where I was working. I moved on to another area, and there it was again. This happened the next day as well. It would just hover by where I was working. I thought maybe it could be more than one insect, but I never saw more than one at a time. I would have posted it on GLP, but I didn't want to sound paranoid.  If there was any summer for bug-spy paranoia, this was it, at least in my area. There were many bugs around that neither I, nor my country-type, older neighbor had ever seen before. There were many new, exotic-looking dragon flies and beetles. Someone could have slipped a spy-bug in there that didn't look like exactly like any other bugs I know, and I would have been none-the-wiser.
