Would you vote for a MORMON to be president of the United States???
Well i asked this because i was surprised of reading this article about the Mormon faith:

While we would be pleased to receive Mitt Romney's testimony about his Mormon beliefs as he has been invited to share, the lack of response from Mitt Romney about his Mormonism isn't a surprise since question 15 is one that Mormons avoid. Why?

One of the teachings of Mormonism kept well-hidden from non-Mormons is the belief that Jesus and Satan started out as brothers:
Mormonism teaches that Jesus behaved well and became God, while Satan behaved badly and became the devil (evidences). Mormons also believe that good conduct in this life will enable today's Mormons to become God someday, like Jesus a generation ago (evidences).

A belief system which teaches Jesus - the holy Creator - to be the brother of Satan - the evil creature - is an abomination that blasphemes Jesus.
And the fallacy that a creature can become the Creator is precisely what turned Lucifer - the angel of light - into Satan and is therefore Satanic.

I didn´t know that Mormons believed this way, i am surprised by this.

Do you think that Romney could be attacked by his faith if the moment comes?. I think that would discredit Romney to get the presidential nomination for the GOP in 2012. I remember that he came 2nd just after McCain in 2008 primaries.

Usually the Southern Strategy plays out in presidential elections. Obama is the one exception in a long time.

Oops, I thought you wrote "moron" and I was going to say, I wouldn't and I didn't but obviously many did because we have one in office now. I would possibly vote for a Mormon if they would defend the Constution, were conservative in values. Yeah, maybe I would.

Mitt Romney is a scumbag owner of the Private Equity firm of Bain Capital

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

The would take companies with solid cash flow and little debt and put in minimal amounts of cash.
They would have the comapny they took over take out loans to finace the rest of their own takeover.

Within a few years they have chopped expenses down to nothing (read employees) and while showing a profit would take out more loans to pay Bain Captial huge dividends.

Now they have a company that was once healthy saddled with debt. If they can't find a buyer within 5yrs or so they just let it wither while struggling to meet it's now massive debt payments.

He's a polished asshole

This is what i think after researching now more information about the topic.

Southern Baptists have been particularly vocal about labeling the LDS Church a "cult." In 1997, the denomination published a handbook and video, both with the title The Mormon Puzzle: Understanding and Witnessing to Latter-day Saints. More than 45,000 of these kits were distributed in the first year; the following year--in a throwing down of the proselytizing gauntlet--the Southern Baptist Convention held its annual meeting in Salt Lake City. Around the same time, a speaker at the denomination's summit on Mormonism declared that Utah was "a stronghold of Satan."

The official Mormon motto is "Do the Right Thing". That's great until you discover there's an additional phrase that non-Mormons never see or hear.

"Do the Right Thing... for other Mormons".

People who lived in Mormon-dominated communities know this from hard experience.

that's the point.

With Mormons, other Mormons come first.

Constitution is a distant third or fourth, as well as laws about child molestation.

You're not really applying the bigger picture to your criticism of the Mormon Faith.

Even non-Mormons understand that Satan didn't begin his career as an Evil Being. At some distant point, he got a bad idea in his head and tried to usurp God's throne.

This is no way implies any impossibility that Christ and Satan weren't brothers before this incident.

God the Father is the Creator of all; Christ is the Creator and Saviour of Earth specifically.

Each Mormon who jumps through each and every hoop laid out before them in this life will become a sub-creator of their own planet, where they will be A God but not THE God of everything. They will populate that planet with their spiritual family.

If you want to attack Mormonism, this is not the way, because you're nitpicking something that isn't even incompatible with most moderate Christian Theology.
I'm not too fond of Signatures. Why would I want to end every post the same way?

Yes, I have quite a few Morman friends and none of them have ever tried to push their beliefs at me. They are darn clean, trustworthy people.
