What can make for a pole shift is just this Niburoan part of the system passing enoughly close to the referenced planet (i.e. Earth)... ice sheats change almost nothing... they are changed by the other changes... and later, they most likely contribute to an increased geologic level as weights are added and/or substracted from certain areas of the plates and the isostasis changes... keep changing and keeps making more VT activity... and so keeps the albedo high... which in turn keeps the glaciation that could be, once it is started... until the next phase of the cycle and another interglacial.

But the glaciation might be still far away. So i hope... and ... life adapt, we can adapt... somewhat... even then.
