In the SE corner, where the count down clock was located previously, appeared a Black sphere which was not solid, but scintillated as well as spun ( I think counterclockwise). It looked like black stars twinkling and spinning. To the north there was that which appeared to be a black shadow, covering the Ohio valley area up to the Great Lakes area. Then it was gone. It was only there for a few seconds.. and then gone. I do not know what it means.

Of course, this decision would not just be Anu's, if such a being exists, to make...one cannot deny the obvious... that there are levels of guidance above "Anu" (or whoever else may be directing such decisions). To say it is Anu's "call" is only half the story. Somebody in his position needs to be in alignment with those powers above him. Unless Anu can achieve such alignment, the Passage would not be able to occur based on Anu's "call" alone. Anu would have to be a capable medium for the energies "above" him.

Me thinks there is a need to clear the meaning of the term "power" regarding to Anu and consorts.
In my view this kind of "power" should not be confused with government power or the like.
Government power is a matter of social convention. It is grabbed by people who can because of money or sheer force.
Real power is a matter of natural function like the power of your feet to carry you or the power of the brain to think and cause your limbs to move.

How does one come into power? How would the success of those with power be measured in such a society? Would someone like Anu be expected to govern indefinitely into the NOW or is there some kind of replacement process?
