I, too, have never been satisfied with textbook explanations of absolute zero. I have brought this for discussion ever since I learned the concept -- it´s never seemed logical or correct to me... how can you have unlimited heat at one end of the scale, but an ´absolute´ rigid start point? Illogical and counter-intuitive.

My observation is this:
all matter ´stops´ at -273.15ºC
terrestrial humans live mostly in the 0 - 40ºC range
stars can ´burn´ in excess of 300,000ºC

Think of a temperature range scale of the absolute coldest to the highest measured temperature, drawn on a number line. The starting mark is -273.15C and the ending mark is 300,00C, with 300,273 marks in all.

If you drew markers for the human environment range (0 to 40C), they would appear on the number line pretty close to the absolute zero point. So close, in fact that a statistician averaging the scale could say that humans exist statistically at about absolute zero.

So my question is this.... is absolute zero a dimensional "start point"? If we were colder than absolute zero, would we be in another plane of existence/dimension?
