Is it normal to get a sunburn as fast as we do today? I've heard the UV scale got changed as when it was initially implemented it was never expected that we'd see ratings higher than 11 but now We see ratings as high as 17, but the scale maxes out at 11+ due to higher readings never being foreseen at the time. Any truth to this? If so has the sun's output increased or our magnetic field strength decreased, or a combination of both?
