I was going through the thread and noticed that you mentioned an emminent pole shift is soon to occur.

The following is from a post I made in a thread at AE.

The earths crust is basically floating on rather slippery material. It is however locked by the magnetic field. As the magnetic poles shift there is a point where there is essentially no magnetic field. This releases the lock and allows the entire crust to slip as it were to a new point of equilibrium.

As the magnetic field intensifies it again locks the crust. Over the years ice buildup on the poles will usually cause an imbalance that will be again equalized the next time the magnetic poles shift.

I can give you a very good example of a simple proof that this is what happens.

The most recent Ice age had most of North America under glaciers. It appears though that Siberia was rather temperate given that a baby Wooly Mamoth was found with temperate buttercup flowers in it's mouth and stomach. It is obvious that the animal had to be quick frozen for this to happen. If you look at a globe it is not hard to imagine that the north pole was much closer to North America vs. Siberia at that time. It answers the why and where fores much better than drastic global climate change. It also explains why an area further north (Siberia) was temperate while an area further south was under glaciers.

There is evidenence of this happening many different times in the geological fossil record.>>>
