We now have our good metal canned food, which puts more metals in our body.

Did earth ever have a temperate climate, so that foraging for food was not a struggle? A garden of Eden where fruit and plants were always available?

I think our civilization is far from sufficient. We rely on our very means of existance outside of our selves. I can imagine a utopia where everyone is useful and contributes, but through self-sufficiency and everyone is valued.
