This is the thing that gets me too. Seems that anything really is possible so it seems entirely possible that maybe the universe really is just a random place (i know we don't understand "random", i mean random in our current definition.) and ST and BG is really just some guy getting his kicks from getting a small group of people to buy into him being an ET.
