Why isn't anyone looking at the results from actual testing in an EMP lab? Link is earlier in this thread - seriously folks go look at the data.....

the data states they did some EMP tests on 37 vehicles ranging in years from 1986-2002. Running and not running. Some of the vehicles running stalled and the vehicles that weren't running had no major effect. etc, etc...

Do we know what type of EMP they tested on these vehicles? Do we know the make/models? How long was the duration of said 'pulse'? Was it a multi-pulse?

The majority of the tests on these vehicles were around the 25-30 kV/m mark. I agree that a small(microseconds) pulse of that magnitude wouldn't do too much other than cause some interference with the electrical systems of those vehicles. If this kind of pulse hit a more sensitive car like a Lexus or any of the newer vehicles (which rely on even more and smaller microprocessors), it would be a completely different story. I can easily see a 5-10 kV/m pulse causing a LOT more damage to a 2010 vehicle than whatever the hell they tested in the 86-02 range. This type of EMP would cause much more havoc with anything on the grid than most vehicles.

Now what do you suppose happens if we have another Carrington Event from that big orange thing in the sky when the electromagnetic field hangs around MUCH MUCH longer than that EMP???
