Venus, Saturn, and Mars are all in that general area.

It's NOT Venus. Go look NOW. Venus is MUCH lower and much further to the west. This Object is not a star, and it is not on Stellarium. It's magnitude is that of a planet, but it's not Venus OR Mars.

Please get a compass and tell us the cordinates and time.
Time and coordinates.
Time and position.
Else you will get the Venus pluto mars buckshot

Somebody posted a while back that Jupiter is very bright these days, being nearer to Earth than usual.

it's Jupiter, and you can easily see it with a reasonably decent telescope , you can also see it's four moons.

I know where Jupiter is. This that I see is not Jupiter and is deep in the west/south west sky.
Tonight I will try to get its coordinates.
Any one else seeing this?

I'm seeing an unusually big and bright star for the past few months. I assumed it was either venus or jupiter.

Re: Whats the big bright planet/star/ufo in the west/southwest at 7pm eastern time?
I'm seeing the same thing OP. I live in a suburb of Seattle and I have wondered the same.....is it the ISS, is it a satellite? It is below the high cloud cover most nights. I can see it even when I can't see any other stars. It stays in the sky all night long and into the earliest moments of dawn.

One difference : What I am seeing is in the east/southeast sky.
