The rapture will never happen - and here's why! [PROOF INSIDE]
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
 Quoting: Matthew 24:35-36

Take any given day and there's an even chance that someone made a prediction on GLP that the rapture is going to happen on that day. Factor in every other website, not to mention offline church groups, cults, enclaves, etc... Basically, name a day and you will be able to find someone who's convinced that the Rapture will happen on that exact day.

So let's say the rapture happens on November 15th. Great. But one of the people who got raptured would be up in heaven saying "YEAH! I KNEW it was going to happen today!" So the Bible was wrong, because someone DID know the day it was going to happen.

So, maybe we can't trust that verse in Matthew, and a few people will know when it's going to happen. But if we can't trust the Bible, then why believe the Rapture is going to happen at all?

Of course... if people believe me and then stop believing in the rapture... then eventually there won't be enough predictions and it'll be able to happen.

So if you want to bring about the rapture, you have to stop being a Christian. Who wants to take one for the team?

A bit off topic, but what happens to the millions of people who disappear without a trace yearly?

I think that if people stopped standing around waiting to be 'saved' from all the crap that was surrounding them, that we would all be better off. Pick up a shovel and start scooping.

Well there is this scripture:

1 Cor 2:16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

Are you plum stupid??

Not believing in the rapture does not mean one is not a Christian.

Oh - and by the way - there is nothing anyone can do to change God's Plan. It is set in stone.

Can't get a solid source, but apparently the CIA/FBI have these statistics.

That depends on your definition. There are some who don't consider you a true Christian unless you believe in a pre-trib rapture (along the lines of the idea that Catholics aren't really Christians).

OP, you might want to brush up on your history. Rosh HaShana is known traditionally as the day that "no man knows the day or hour" because the day cannot be officially declared until at least two witnesses see the new moon (can take 12-48 hours). Jesus was giving a clue as to the day of His return when He said "no man knows the day or the hour." That Feast day is also held to commemorate the Marriage of the Messiah with His Bride, the Church.

Try this one on:

In Revelation 3:3 Jesus HIMSELF states "Remember therefore how thou has received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee."

Interesting, huh? I take that to mean if you ARE watching, you CAN know when He will return. He is drawing out His "Bride" and those that truly love Him sense that the time is near. Choose a side, the time is at hand!

God Bless

That interpretation doesn't make sense given the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25, though.
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
 Quoting: Matthew 25

The clear lesson here is that it will be unexpected - the other virgins should have been prepared for it to happen at any moment, and because they weren't, they were caught off guard. It makes no sense if the meaning is "here's the day it will happen on."
