They get control, it's very simple. They've already consolidated most of the actual wealth of the world (not money, scarce resources and precious metals). They want complete control, and then they want to lower the global population, it's a pagan concept of having humanity in balance with nature...not a bad concept in theory, but the wrong people will be spared. The ruling class thinks you're pretty much cattle to them. They're "hiding" the ancient manuscripts and practices that teach and elevate you to realize there is no external savior like Jesus...

Every man is a son of god, they make it so you think someone else has to save you, and not yourself. In their minds, THEY are the gods and saviors of the planet, despite the opposite being true. They think you're too stupid and ignorant to be trusted with personal freedom. Why do you think psychadelics are illegal, but alcohol isnt? Things that reshape the way you perceive reality are dangerous to them, they want you drunk and stupid and watching football, not questioning why the world is as corrupt as it is, and who's in power. The ruling "elite" have written the narrative for how youre supposed to interpret existence. Their end goal is to have for themselves a highly advanced civilization with all of the suppressed technology they've hidden for centuries, while you get the scraps...oh, and you have to work your entire life to afford the scraps and go into debt, while they collect interest on paper money that doesn't even have real value.
