For one LaVey was nothing but a Gypsy Showman who saw a way of making cash out of making people believe they can be their own "God" by giving them the idealistic view of empowerment over Christianity, as this goes against everything the Christians stand for LaVey called his sect "Satanism."

Luciferianism is differing in that it worships Satan as the Biblical entity opposed to God, the "fallen Angel" as such to which Hell was cast upon.

Same shit really, it sits on my shelf among other controversial delights such as the bible and mein kampf.

It just strikes me as pretentious really though.
