Wow OP, well said and what an experience at the age of seven. Amazing. That was some event and having three NDE must really sit one up straight in the chair, so to speak. You are clearly here for a reason. Refreshing.
The last NDE I had I was T-Boned in my Jeep, which was totaled. When we were hit, I felt my spirit/soul jump right out of me ... I could feel the disconnection. That has lead me to deeper research because I knew there was a connection.
I am an 'old hippy' kind of person. In the past I have 'experimented' with 'items' that is said to opened my pineal gland. I find interesting correlation between these experiences and NDE experiences. Not that I am advocating going out and trying this, I am just making an observation.

I had, without trying really (just meditating and praying and ironically it was a period in my life with zero drugs or alcohol) an out-of-body experience that woke me up like nothing else. One day I will detail it in more description here, but basically I could feel the force coming out of the body and popping into the ether. It was a period where I was searching greatly for what was the purpose of life and how could this all come to be. It was so vivid, so real and really made me finally realize there is more than meets the eye. I now try to pay attention to everything. As an example, a bird fluttering before my face for five seconds without warning, rhyme or reason (at least in this world of thinking) is no longer just passed off as coincidence.
