ATTN: MATH AND ASTRONOMY EXPERTS...I need your help with a leap year question....I beg please.

Since last night I have been going over the math involved in calculating how many minutes extra are in our day if we eliminated leap year. I am having a HUGE mental block. Yes I know the answer is out there, and I have read it...but I need to see the math equation. This is the seed of a vision I am having, but I cannot do it alone. I need your help. Thank you.
