Her name was not Lina Morgana (any more than that other person's name is Lady Gaga). She actually took her stage name from this fantasy art drawing called "Morgana" (by some artist called Amy Brown): [link to www.amybrownarchive.com

Wikipedia has a number of articles about "Morgana": [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)
Allegedly Lina, whose real last name I'm not sure what was, also called herself "Lady Morgana". In the Arthurian legends there is a "Morgan le Fay", also called "Morgana". In the version of the British tv series "Merlin", the Morgana character there, Morgana Pendragon, is also referred to as the Lady Morgana. But I'm not sure if the singer was aware of the Arthurian Morgana character, or whether there's any link between Amy Brown's fantasy art character Morgana and the Arthurian legends character.
In line with the thinking of the thread here, one might perhaps imagine this Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta inventing the term "Lady Gaga" pretty much on the spot as a mockery, like a bitter and jealous sibling little child might have done, of Lina's stage name "Lady Morgana". Along with murdering, copying music and image, and general poking fun at Lina, it's a pretty interesting story. Rather reminds me of the story of Cain and Abel.
