WOE TO YOU WHO DESIRE THE DAY OF THE LORD
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Okay, you're talking about that "Lord" dude from the Old Testament and not the "God Almighty" dude in the NT, right? See, I know them as two different entities...and the OT dude is not a good guy. He likes blood sacrifice too much for my tastes. The "God Almighty" guy seems more about peace and love and less about eating blood.

That is so and yet to not wish for his speedily return is to pretty much damn yourself to the misery which is to come very shortly. We may destroy ourselves before the Day of the Lord comes at this rate.

How is not wishing for his speedily return to damn yourself to the misery which is to come?

1,000 shall fall at your left and 10,000 at your right, but it shall not come nigh thee... only with thine eyes shall thou behold and see the reward of the wicked....

Although I really hate the evil in this world I still find this life very fulfilling. We should desire life--and live it to the utmost!

Indeed, the day may come soon, but we're to watch and wait and live our lives as God intended...

Luke 21

27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

That's not supposed to be desirable?

Actually not really. Christianity has been a doomsday cult since day one, Jesus and Paul both preach about the coming wrath of god.

... If you truly desire to see the horrible death of those around you then you may need to rethink things a bit.

... I doubt Noah was looking forward to the flood and I doubt he enjoyed hearing the screaming men, women, and children; perhaps even beating on walls of the ark as they drowned and bombarded by debris. It was not a beautiful, desirable thing... And so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

I will be there looking up with my fellow elect... but it shall not be a beautiful welcome home party...

You obviously do not understand that all of those "blood sacrifices" were intended to be a school teacher, pointing the way to the REAL blood sacrifice, which happened when Jesus died. That is why the "blood sacrifices" STOPPED at that time.

Same God, both Old and New Testament.

Noah did his part, by blowing the trumpet of warning to a doomed generation, for 120 years, as was his duty. He was mocked and ridiculed the entire time, all the way up until the day he and his family boarded the ark.

I too, have done as the bible instructs me to do, and have been warning people of what is to come, and (of course) with the same reaction that Noah received. People who have no intention of repenting always consider a warning to be a "threat", because that is how they feel... "Threatened". And just as the prophets of old were hated in their own land, so also the wicked of today absolutely detest those who seek to obey God, and attack them, and accuse them of every sort of evil.

Will I be distressed about all of the yelling and screaming by those who are running for cover when the lord returns? Well, let's just say that I shook the dust off my feet as a witness against them, and concerned myself with those who hungered for, and sought after... the Truth.

Maybe you're the one with a boner for death? Because I don't see anywhere I wrote that suggests i'd enjoy seeing people die.

Anyway, i'm guessing you're either a troll or a retard, so have fun and don't forget your helmet.
