My company is lowering coverage and jacking up insurance rates through the roof next year

Hmmm,I was paying $250.00 per week for family coverage 2 years ago,they jacked me up at $300.00 a week and so i told them they could keep it.

Self Empl. folks dont have a chance in hell of any medical unlesss they make the big bucks,for us small taters its best/cheaper if we go on and kick the bucket.

But....but....you can still keep your own doctor....and hospital...

Yeah, my new job bragged to me during my interview about how they pay for insurance. Started the job, and found that I pay 200/mo out of pocket. I expect it will go up soon.

Do the smart thing and opt out of the Insurance. Put the money into a "Health Savings Account". You will save a fortune. Assuming your reasonably healthy. At least this way your not throwing the money away. It's being parked so to speak. Only worth doing if your rates are ridiculous.

hate to be the bearer of bad news... But I was a broker for 10 years... The state is the one allowing the increase... yes, every state has an insurance commissioner and every year carriers send in rates to be approved or denied.

Even though there are several different carriers for your company to chose from, it's a monopoly, since all carriers share information, including past claims, and current increases.
