Sterling Silver a Good Investment?
Sterling Silver Jewelry is .925 Silver; 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Sounds like a good way to accumulate silver if you are flat broke

Better than nothing but there is a wide range of silver contents that are labelled "sterling". Your best bet is junk silver. It is recognized. The content is assured and is easy to trade.

silver jewelry can be melted down easily into silver bars.
that is the way to go. all this hype on gold i have thought is foolish. having some gold is fine but silver is what people understand better today.

I dare you to make colloidal silver solution with it.

To answer your question. No. If you want to go that route, get junk.

Im sure by now banks have taken all the silver quarters dimes and nickels out of circulation. Ive asked for rolls of quarters and dimes from the bank and have yet to find any pre 1964 coins.

Re: Sterling Silver a Good Investment?
Junk silver is ok if it were available to find at the bank... however if you want to buy junk silver youll be paying just over spot price. Sterling silver seems to be the best alternative since its still fairly cheap considering youre getting 92.5% silver content where as with junk silver at most you will get 90% silver content

Re: Sterling Silver a Good Investment?
If you have SS just find a refiner to smelt it down and pay you for the silver content.
