As an American woman I can only (speak for myself) and say I know I'd make a terrible wife. I called off 3 separate engagements because although I loved the men at the time I knew "wife" wasn't a role for me.

I'm so glad I was born in this country and to my parents in particular. They insisted I learn to be independent and career minded while fostering my love of all things creative.

I love being a woman. I love men. I enjoy my life tremendously.

But yes,I'd make a terrible wife.
