It is an induced magnetic field reversal. Only the magnetic field will shift, not the mass of the planet. The geologic record has evidence of many pole reversals and none are associated with catastrophic events, other than coincidentally. It happens a fairly regular intervals. For crying out loud, the planet does not flip over. Some people.....sheesh |
