What will tattooed people do when the tattoo FAD ends (all fads do come to an end)

Art is sculpture or paintings on a wall. Tattoos are self mutilation.

Do you have your ears pierced? Or does your mother? That is self-mutilation.

The skanks with the Tramp Stamps are especially disgusting and are really going to look even sweeter when they are older......

Tattoos are NOT a fad and have been an art of our ancestors for many thousands of years. What is a fad is the America illusion that most of you think is real.

The people who are attracted to tattoos are from the same tribes who they descend from and have it in their blood to collect body art.

For example, here is a 2,500 year old mummy with tattoos and what they didn't find was an IPhone, TV or anything else in the cave where this mummy was found that you would find in America other than tattoos. Hence, stop lying and defying an ancient tradition just because you are IGNORANT of history and a mind controlled judgmental moron.

Tattoo inks contain heavy metals. Those toxins enter the body via the skin.

The BIGGEST IDIOTS are the ones who have tattoos near the brain! (face, head, throat, neck) That's REALLY SMART, having toxic ink injected into your skin near the head. LMAO!!

I don't think it matters about when the fad ends. They wil be most likely be very embaressed to take their shirts off at a beach when they are 50 years old. Its a life sentence!

The fact that Tattoos were around for thousands of years just shows that bad taste never goes out of style.

WASNT really a fad then; this "fad" started at some time where you "had" to have a tatoo; like in 2005 you HAD to buy a house'. once they have television shows about it; the fad is over.

but to each his own.

i think unless you go all out (like full arm, or full body)it looks ugly, especially on women.

I Know what you're saying OP - bad tatoo's really are not flattering. They can make the body of the person look uglier..IMO.

I kinda like the idea of inked designs on my skin cascading around my body - but i'm put off by the fact that tatoo-ink isn't regulated at all and alot of mercury is added to stabilise the ink.

Mercury toxicity is something i'm already dealing with..

The removal of tattoo's doesn't really help the toxic load - only seems to increase it by 'pushing' the ink further into the skin so it becomes faint and invisible.

So although i like to see really fabulous body art - there is a high toxic price to pay.

Took out all my piercings too due to disturbances with body meridians. Didn't think it mattered until i started taking them out and felt the beneficial effects.

Body art and health , unfortunately don't go together. I would really love to decorate my body with ink and piercings but it's really not healthy.

Tattoos are encouraged because it helps identify people.

I am going to continue living my life. Tattoos are something I enjoy, so even if the "fad" wears out, I will still enjoy the ones I have and any additional ones I get (I have none planned at the moment) and if anyone disagrees they can go kick some rocks because it's my actions and decisions regardless of their opinions

I didn't get tattooed because of any "fad". In fact, it would be nice if the "fad" ended, because then there wouldn't be such a long wait for appointments with my tattoo artist.

This statement is an example of self-esteem gone wrong. Schools (and society in general) now teaches that everyone and everything is wonderful, as long as you feel good about yourself - even if it's wrong or you failed.

Tattoos will hold you back socially and will keep you out of many jobs. Unfortunately, this is the real world where people judge others by appearance. They don't give a damn how you feel about yourself. It's a fact of life. If you're OK settling for a "is this for here or to go" job, then keep getting your tattoos
