Burt Gummer User ID: 989406 United States 09/23/2010 01:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yes. christ i hope this isnt more wide spread. The thought of what could have caused me to become so ill has really been bothering me but not wanting to sound like a paranoid nitwit I have refrained from saying anything. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1040484Started about 3 weeks ago. I'm in South Carolina. I'm fairly young (36), I never get sick and I'm 7 days into a 10 day script of very powerful antibiotics without feeling much relief. Also a ton of mucus that is more than unpleasant to deal with. Nose, throat and chest. My doc thought I may have pneumonia when she listened to my lungs. She recommended a full chest scan but I refrained and promised to call back on Tuesday (2 days ago) if I was feeling significantly better but I'm holding out to finish these last 3 doses before I do so. If I have to go back in, I will insist on a VOC test. I drink only filtered water from my berkey which should remove all the VOC's so my guess would be that its in the air supply if the test were to come back positive. My husband has just started with the deep chest coughs this week as well. And he is another that never gets sick. It has had me concerned. Please anyone else who is experiencing symptoms please reply with location, symptoms and how long its been going on. Thanks for the links on the whooping cough and herbal remedies. I will check them out. :seasauce: |

Lurker User ID: 601209 United States 09/23/2010 02:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | West Texas here. Mine started three weeks ago and seemed like a cold, but with no fever, chills, or aches. And I'm still coughing. It's strange. I can go for a few hours not coughing all that much, feeling almost well, then all of a sudden, my nose and sinuses will fill up. Water dripping out of my eyes. And, I'll start coughing. Or ... sometimes, the congestion won't go away for awhile... and I can hear myself wheeze. When that's going on, I also feel really tired. Seems like an allergy, but it hits suddenly and like a ton of bricks. Until this year, though, I've never had this kind of experience. It just goes on and on ... By the way, same thing happening to my spouse --- and people in the office. Also ... although we're in west Texas, we get air masses coming in from the Gulf of Mexico if that means anything. |

And you can bet your ass that you can fuck to it" |

Veranidae User ID: 26743899 United States 01/03/2013 06:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's clearly Whooping Cough. What's REALLY aggravating is to find that health officials are entirely aware of it and have been since last year. I Googled "Whooping Cough NH," and a load of local coverage I hadn't even seen materialized, dating back to last year. There was an outbreak of it two years ago in Long Island, if memory serves, that went largely unreported. I mentioned it to a family friend at THAT time who was hacking constantly to beat the band. Eventually (weeks later), she was diagnosed with, you guessed it, Whooping Cough. Doctors in this area are handing out antibiotics like Halloween candy. Add to that the flu and whatever has made a home in my sinuses and you've got a regular cornucopia of medical intrigue. |
