Really I mean that, never heard it put like that, and it so true. I've been smoking for a lot of years, the patch didn't help, I just wanted to roll it up and smoke it, pills....naw, so I tried the e-cig...it's working. OK....I guess I didn't stop smoking, but I did stop smoking real cigarettes. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 485160 United States 09/26/2010 11:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't take big pharma drugs, it will just lead to something else down the road. My ex sister-in-law was on Chantix, she still smokes like a freight train! If you really want to quit, here's what to do... Get a copy of Allen Carr's book The EASWAY to Stop Smoking. You can find used copies at local bookstores or order online from Alibris. Read the book and several days before your "quit date" start a full body cleanse. You can get one at most any store nowadays or order online. The cleanse will begin removing the nicotine and other toxins from your liver and other cells in your body where they were stored. So when you do quit, you won't have to go through any withdrawls as most of the "crap" from the cigs is already gone. Don't forget to say GOODBYE to the cigs. Most people don't do this. It IS necessary though. Cigs were your friend thru all times good or bad so you MUST say goodbye to them. End the relationship! You WILL stop smoking and NEVER go thru any withdrawls, and NEVER smoke another cig! |

Has anybody here tried it and did it work for you? I also am concerned about the side effects. Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations. This chemical blocks a key mechanism in your brain that processes nicotine. That cannot be good. I would try Ibogaine. It has a very high success rate with heroin addicts. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1098105 United States 09/26/2010 11:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The problem isn't so much the smoking as it is the emotional problems underneath.. detoxing doesn't take too long, but dealing with the underlying reasons for smoking in the first place requires actual mental effort, something most people just aren't caoable of (not because they can't, but because they won't) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 499484this is a good point. Probably some underlying anxiety issues for most nicotine users. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 819784 United States 09/26/2010 11:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I once re-wrote the code for smoking in humans. Putting the right chemicals into the body and the right chemicals into the environment, improvements to both human and planet were SIGNIFICANT, but it would require another universal mind experiment, re-writing every website or nervous system in the world and cooperation from a bunch of other parts of me who are hippy assholes who like to rape me. I am a true believer that everything in this world fits, we just have to get the math correct. |

I stopped 1 month 1 week ago today. So far no urge to go buy any at all. A craving will hit and I suck a loze. Gone. Bad circulation caused from smoking. My toe had turned blue. I'm 46. Hate it that is what it took for me to quit. I always knew. Wonder why there is no rehab for smokers? |

Quoting: IrishlassI started consecrating on every thing that was negative about the habit, I did this from a couple of months also started smoking only the ones I did not like. When I did quit I did not have any major withdraws. After you quit, pay no attention to people smoking, don't go on a anti-smoking rampage, ignore it. I also quit playing cards for a long time, I could not play without wanting one hanging out of my mouth. Good luck, it's a hard habit to break. |
