Fiery Chariots... UFO's? Sorry, not in this story! The door to the heavens exists within the realm of imagination. How powerful is the power of consciousness? Does the possibility to manifest your thoughts into reality really exist? When a prophet is taken off the face of this planet in the presence of his disciple by 'fiery chariots' , what clues exist that would help us determine what is truly taking place?

In the Bible, there is an interesting story about the prophet Elijah and his disciple, Elisha. In this story Elijah and Elisha are "parted asunder" by a fiery chariot and Elijah taken up to heaven in a 'whirlwind'.

The story goes... (2 Kings 2)
The two prophets are part of a large caravan. The group halts on the edge of the Jordan River and Elijah and Elisha dismount and step to the water's edge. Elijah removes his coat and 'smites' the waters with it, the waters split asunder so the prophet and his disciple can walk across to the other side. As they are walking, Elijah asks if Elisha would have anything of him before he is 'taken'; Elisha asks, "a double portion of your spirit"; and Elijah responds, "if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so." Elisha witnesses the incredible event and returns to the caravan across the river.

First of all we know through all the Biblical accounts of 'visions' that these happen within the imagination, visions occur as God is trying to deliver a message to his prophet; angels typically use one method or another to influence the prophets mind, and in some very rare occasions, to make the message completely clear, the angel will cross between the veil and transubstantiate into our world. In this instance with Elijah and Elisha, the vision actually burst through the veil into our world, the pure faith and belief of the prophet manifested a vision that manifested into the physical realm in the presence of a witness! Wow. The Bible documents the methods used to achieve these astonishing results...

You could be absolutely right serving god is all about faith in that which is not seen, and god acts on our faith. Elijahs story is beautiful.
