To lie on my bed, all day if I chose, with the sun streaming through my window, reading, or surfing the net...

See, for all of the sheeple out there harping on about how you should have a job, and be contributing, blah blah blah, if they just stopped for a second and took a deep breath they would realize that it is the most simple things in life that give satisfaction and contentment. That it is your 'right' to be free.

You have to make it happen however you can, because freedom has essentially been outlawed in our society. There are few if any opportunities to make a living without slavery. Part time work doesnt bring in enough to survive, so the only way to do it is to withdraw fom it completely. This is very true, very true. It also leads to not having to shave, which kicks ass in itself. I will generally shave around my mouth area, every few days, so rice crispies do not get stuck to my face.

Most "ambition" people have is based on money, money, money. To make alot of money and have power is NOT a true valuable goal. Sure, you gotta pay the bills, but most people are clueless as to what life is really about, not what superficial, juvenile money-worshipping TV tells you. MOst rich people with materialistic things are FUCKING MISERABLE. YOU have to decide what deeper meanings life has, don't depend on waiting for someone to tell you. It if different for everybody. See , the real problem here is that many people don't even know what they have been doing and why they have done it. They are stretched out and frazzled, bills due, payments late, screaming kids, etc, etc.

The truth of the matter is that in a world where you are forced to make a choice between the lesser of two evils, that is evil in itself.

My choice is not to choose the evils.

I operate this vessel how I see fit, and it's done me quite well, thank you.

In simply living, and refusing to play the game or fight the fight, you are changing the world, through peaceful non-action, and peaceful non-violence.

Nobody needs to fight anything, for that is what gives it it's strength.

We need more underachievers in the world.

On another note, I was at a seminar once of this motivational speaker and he did mention that success really means your happy in your life. He said a guy laying on a park bench with a newspaper over his head taking a nap may be successful as long as he is HAPPY with his life. This thread made me think of that, as long as YOU'RE HAPPY I guess. lol

I too have managed to avoid a "real" job for several years.
If everyone adopted this mentality and stopped running around like rats in a maze or ants marching then the world would be a lot better off.
