Ancient Babylonian (Anunnaki) language revived and published! Is the veil about to be lifted?
This language existed before Aramaic, actually Aramaic replaced this language. Now brought back to live after having died more than 2,000 years ago and recorded online. I wonder why?? Well, they say it's for students who study ancient languages and never have the chance to actually hear it. However, what if we're being subjected to this ancient language for some other reason? ;)
Also note the texts of old Babylonian tablets that were chosen to be recorded!!!

I have changed the title again of this thread - this has started numerous discussions! I would like your input - what is your opinion on this ?

"The language of the Epic of Gilgamesh and King Hammurabi has found a new life online after being dead for some 2,000 years.

Academics from across the world have recorded audio of Babylonian epics, poems, and even a magic spell to the Internet in an effort to help scholars and laymen understand what the language of the ancient Near East sounded like.

The answer? Cambridge University's Martin Worthington told The Associated Press that it's "a bit like a mixture of Arabic and Italian."

.....

The Babylonian language, written on clay tablets in cuneiform script, dominated the Near East for centuries before it was gradually displaced by Aramaic. After a long decline, it disappeared from use altogether sometime in the first century A.D. — and was only deciphered nearly two millennia later by 19th-century European academics."

I find this interesting...will go find the link where you can listen to it.

Pay attention to the tablets they chose and their texts - here an interesting clipping from Ištar's Descent to the Netherworld:

"......

"Why did she set her heart on me? Why would her mood lighten mine?

Here now, shall I drink water with the Anunnaki-gods,

Shall I eat a loaf of clay for bread, shall I drink dirty water for beer?"

LOL - that's funny - I just found reference to Anunnaki and posted it.

I had a weird feeling that this was somehow connected to what is happening lately. I thought how curious that a language so ancient suddenly is being revived and showing up on yahoo news. I was for some reason not surprised about the mention of Anunnaki. I am still reading through the rest...very interesting stuff.

Look at this one:

The Epic of Gilgameš, Standard Version, Tablet XI

".......

"I will disclose to you, Gilgamesh, a secret matter,
10

and I will tell you a mystery of the gods.

11

"The city of Shuruppak — a city you yourself know,
12

the [city that] is situated on the [banks] of the Euphrates —
13

that city was old and the gods were inside it,
14

(when) the great gods decided to cause the Deluge.

15

"Their father Anu took the oath,
16

(as did) their counsellor, the hero Enlil,
17

their chamberlain, Ninurta,
18

their inspector of waterways, Ennugi"

Reference to the flood and Noah!

Re: Ancient Babylonian (Anunnaki) language revived and published! Is the veil about to be lifted?
More Anunnaki mention - I recommend read the complete tablet, I am only giving you a part of it:

Atramḫasīs, OB version from Sippir, Tablet I

"......

I i 05

While the great Anunakkū sevenfold

I i 06

let the Igigū toil under the corvée.

I i 07

Anu, their father, the king,

I i 08

their counsellor, heroic Enlil,

I i 09

their chamberlain Ninurta

I i 10

and their sheriff Ennugi,

....

I i 13

Anu had gone up away to heaven,

I i 14

Enlil had seized earth as his realm,

I i 15

the bolts and the slings of the sea

I i 16

had been given to Enki the prince.

I i 17

The ones of Anu had gone up to heaven,

I i 18

and the ones of Enki had descended into Apsû,"

......

I am sure some of the Anunnaki experts on GLP would like to take a stab at what this is telling us? :)

Re: Ancient Babylonian (Anunnaki) language revived and published! Is the veil about to be lifted?
Poem to princess Inanna aka Ishtar:

1 Sing ye of the goddess, the most fearsome of the gods,
2 Praise be upon the lady ruler of men, the greatest of the Igigi!
3 Sing ye of Ishtar, the most fearsome of the gods,
4 Praise be upon the lady ruler of the people, the greatest of the Igigi!

5 She who gets excited, clothed in sex appeal,
6 adorned with fruits, charm and allure.
7 She who gets excited, clothed in sex appeal,
8 adorned with fruits, charm and allure.

9 She is sweet at the lips, her mouth is life,
10 Delights are lush on her cheeks,
11 She is lovely, beads are strewn on her head,
12 Her cheeks are comely, her eyes twinkle and sparkle.

13 The pure one, with her rests counsel,
14 She holds in her hand the fate of anything you care to name,
15 Seeing her makes for happiness,
16 Pride, splendour, protective spirit male and female.

17

17 Of love-making, seduction, making love, pleasure
18 and harmony, she is the lady ruler.
19 The girl who was exposed will get a mother,
20 She will mention her among the people, speak her name.

21

21 Who can rival any of her glory?
22 her powers are mighty, exalted and manifest.
23 Ishtar, who can rival her glory?
24 her powers are mighty, exalted and manifest.

25

25 Cruellest among the gods, her standing is huge,
26 Her word is mighty, she triumphs over them.
27 Ishtar among the gods, her standing is huge,
28 Her word is mighty, she triumphs over them.

 Quoting: Babsi

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

"The Georgia Guidestones is a large granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. A message comprising ten guides is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages' scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge."[1] The monument is almost 20 feet (6.1 m) tall if the buried support stones are included, exactly 18 feet (5.5 m) otherwise[2], and made from six granite slabs weighing more than 240,000 pounds (110,000 kg) in all.[3] One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the Guidestones."

[link to www.wired.com]

The mysterious story of R. C. Christian and the absence of information about the true meaning of the Guidestones was bound to become an irresistible draw for conspiracy theorists and "investigators" of all kinds. Not surprisingly, three decades later there is no shortage of observers rushing to fill the void with all sorts of explanations.
Among them is an activist named Mark Dice, author of a book called The Resistance Manifesto. In 2005, Dice (who was using a pseudonym of his own—"John Conner"—appropriated from the Terminator franchise's main character) began to demand that the Guidestones be "smashed into a million pieces." He claims that the monument has "a deep Satanic origin," a stance that has earned him plenty of coverage, both in print and on the Web. According to Dice, Christian was a high-ranking member of "a Luciferian secret society" at the forefront of the New World Order. "The elite are planning to develop successful life-extension technology in the next few decades that will nearly stop the aging process," Dice says, "and they fear that with the current population of Earth so high, the masses will be using resources that the elite want for themselves. The Guidestones are the New World Order's Ten Commandments. They're also a way for the elite to get a laugh at the expense of the uninformed masses, as their agenda stands as clear as day and the zombies don't even notice it."

The Babylonian Epic of Creation (Enūma elîš), Tablet I - this one has only the recording but no translation...eh..anybody learned the Anunnaki language and can translate it?

I find it more and more curious that we're being subjected to this ancient language...and the texts are just, well, food for thought I would say. But why is the Epic of Creation not translated???

Re: Ancient Babylonian (Anunnaki) language revived and published! Is the veil about to be lifted?
Something is being revealed to us here...I wish some of the tablets would be continued...

The Epic of Anzû, Old Babylonian version from Susa, Tablet II

"....

07 (087) Anu opened his mouth,
08 (088) saying to the gods, his children:
09 (089) “Whichever god might kill Anzûm –
10 (090) I shall make his name famous among all!”

7 (105)
“My father, who would rush off to the inaccessible mountain?
18 (106)
Which one among your children could be Anzûm’s vanquisher?
19 (107-108)
He has got possession of the Tablet-of-Destinies; he has robbed the god of his Illil-power!
20 (109)
Anzûm has lifted his head up towards his mountain,

....

36(175/177)

[He called?] Dingirmaḫ, the sister, the womb, and addressed her eminence in the assembly.

...

47(200)
“I have given birth to the Igigū, all of them!
48 (202)
I created the assembly of the gods, I, Mammi!
49 (203-204)
I assigned the Illil-power to my brother and the kingship of heaven to Anum!
50 (205)
But (now) Anzûm has upset the kingship I have assigned!
51(207)
He has taken away the Illil-power, has scorned your father!"

No seriously, this is very cool....this language existed thousands of years ago, before Aramaic even, was practically dead for 2,000 years and now they suddenly find it important to record this language and yahoo has it on front news? And lots of mention of the Anunnaki for their chosen texts as well...

So, where do we sign up for classes to learn Anunnaki ? :)
