According to Barry Setterfields dating calcs for the time of the Flood of Noah, he has it somewhere around 3,545 B.C. as we currently reckon years and year lengths. The oldest writtings of Sumer are most commonly dated to 3,500 B.C. by most 19th and 20th Century studies.

From the population growth mathematic formulea used by Setterfield and Lambert, et.al. one can estimate a range of the human population at the time of Noah, form a two people beginnings 10 generations earily to range from 1,092 or so people to evne around 27 Billion people...

If the populatino was even 1 millin pepoe and they had all crowed themselves into a realtively small area of the Earth, then even a local flood could have wiped out all but a hand ful of survivors.

If you reckon that a person can walk two miles a day, in only 120 years, that is to say 120y*356d=43800 days a person would walk or 87,600 miles in 120 years, so why the need to even build an ark if that flood was a local one?

The average adult male and female can easily walk 4 miles in an hour so a 2 mile walk is about 30 mintues of walking.. per day.

Allegedly these are peoples who did things like build the pyramids an such and yet we are to believe that they could not, walking 2 miles a day, walk 1,000 miles in 500 days?.. spending a half hour a day walking.
