High cost of living, collapsing housing prices, VERY high property taxes, the highest crime rate in the country, massive government corruption, no second amendment rights in cook county, horrible winters (not that the last one can be helped).

Chicago is an absolute shithole and why a normal working class person would want to live there is beyond my understanding.

Well, if you spend time in DC serving a national job like in Congress or with the White House, I don't think that counts. Otherwise, most of Congress and the Senate would lose their state/city residency.

Why waiste your time on this issue?

YOu know nothing is ever going to come of the citizen issues for ANY of the ones who possess all the power and $$$.

Focus on other, more important issues, like corruption.

Focus on issues people can actually have an impact on.

This is a dead issue because the average person cannot do a thing with it.

You're seriously going to allow a person who doesn't fit the legal requirements to run for office there? That's like saying it's okay to give illegals amnesty, because some of them work. What about the original law that says they're here illegally? Rham Emmanuel is not, by law, capable of running for this office, and yet...he's probably going to win the race. We STILL don't have verifiable evidence that Obammer is a U.S. citizen, he refuses to cooperate with the American people and provide documented proof that he is in fact an American citizen. But it sounds like people with your mindset don't care...you just wana talk about the issues. Well...let's see here...going AGAINST the U.S. Constitution is a pretty big issue don't you think? The man is throwing our nation to the wolves and into the toilet. Aren't those issues that would've been avoided if someone would've shown that he is not a legit U.S. citizen???

I understand that you might feel overwhelmed by such a big task of trying to prove someone's ineligibility to run for office...so you try and stick to things that are more within your realm of control such as local issues. BUT...that doesn't mean that you should encourage everybody else to avoid the situation as well. In fact, you should be encouraging people to do whatever they can to ensure the prosperity and future of America with whatever means they have to help do that.

He is clearly not eligible to run as mayor of Chicago. Period.
