"stargate sg-1":cameos by 2 air force chiefs of staff, "goa´uld-plated military" in alien war?
why would two successive air force chief of staff generals be playing themselves on a science fiction show about a clandestine war with reptilian aliens that enslave entire worlds of humans?

is this series paralleling claims that alien tech has been souvenired from ufo craft shot down by the military, which has been said to have a de facto protocol for shoot-downs for such off-world craft?

could these predatory actions precipitated a war with alien species? is this why "The USAF cooperates closely with the makers of the program"?

General John P. Jumper is the current Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force.

He also has television acting experience, having played himself in the science fiction series Stargate SG-1. His predecessor, General Ryan, has also appeared on the series.

The USAF cooperates closely with the makers of the program. Two successive Chiefs of Staff of the USAF, Generals Michael E. Ryan and John P. Jumper, have appeared in the show, playing themselves. Ryan appeared in the episode "Prodigy" (4x19) because of his fascination with science fiction, especially space exploration. Jumper made a cameo appearance in "Lost City" (7x22), the episode that was originally slated to be the show´s last. The Air Force Association recognized Richard Dean Anderson at its 57th annual dinner on September 14, 2004 for his work as actor and executive producer of the show and "for the show´s continuous positive depiction of the Air Force." speaking of jaffas, jaffa:

Jaffa: Humanoid species with marsupial-like pouches, which were genetically engineered from humans. Their pouches serve to incubate a Goa´uld larva for approximately 100 Earth years. Though the symbiote gives strong healing capabilities and strength to the Jaffa, it robs them of their own immune system, requiring them to have a symbiote or take the drug tretonin at all times. The Jaffa constituted the majority of the military strength of the Goa´uld. However, due to the Jaffa rebellion, some Goa´uld, most notably Anubis, now use Kull Warriors as their primary troops.

aren´t the american freemasons´ meeting houses referred to as jaffa mosques? jaffa was the city in judaea that the knights templar were routed from during the crusades

the american military was founded by the freemasons...all of the original astronauts were said to be 33rd degreed freemasons...

Good thread. Thanx necramericanomicon.

The USAF is obviously marketing the star wars concept with this show. I bet the real Project Stargate and the real technology behind it are very down-to-earth.

i love this show too. I think they play around a lot with the idea that the show is disinformation, but it has been a running gag. I just saw an episode the other night on sci fi where Jack O neil is the technical advisor on a really bad show based on SG1, and wrtten by an alien who has had his memory erased and thinks he is human. That was really clever.
I am sorry Richard Dean Anderson Is not on this year. When the writers let him be more than a dumb jock, he was the best thing about the show. Although, the character of Sam is probably the best thing becasue she is such a good role model for girls. SHe´s beautiful without being freakish and strong but not homocidal and a math geek besides, Its a great character.
We were thinking the other day, its a good show to watch with kids becaseu nobody ever bleeds, too much or sweats too much, they just get dirty. Its exciting without being to scary.

"I think they play around a lot with the idea that the show is disinformation, but it has been a running gag."

actual military personnel and uniforms are being used, and the american public is not even informed that planet killers are being unleashed upon it because of national security

only some kind of disinformation artist could call this scenario a running gag...unless they are a braindead fucking idiot, which is entirely possible

Normally I hate strong women in a sci-fi show, but Sam´s character is the exception. She is not a total bitch, and hides her smarts behind a likeable personality. If the president in "Galactica" was like her I might even consider watching it, but that´s not likely.

It´s pretty obvious that GOD is approaching, and the feeble military assholes, with their half-ass government civilian assholes, are trying to ease the idea into the publics´ mind that it´s "okay" to fight GOD......LOL...whatever....do what you must.

the u s military is the biggest centrally planned economy in the world

weapons of mass destruction are now the biggest business market globally

nasa and jpl now have military oversight under master spook bobby ray inman

would they even tell us citizen schmoes if we were engaged in alien wars, especially if they had instigated them in the first place

anderson made honorary brigadier general by a f chief of staff jumper, who had cameo on stargate sg-1 tv series discussing alien invasion with an actor playing the president of the usa:

[link to www.gateworld.net]

Actor and executive producer Richard Dean Anderson was honored Tuesday, September 14th for his and Stargate SG-1´s positive depiction of the U.S. Air Force at it´s 57th Annual Air Force Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.

The awards ceremony took place before the dinner. General Jumper took the stage and spoke about having a special V.I.P. in the audience. He introduced a video compilation clip of special moments from Stargate SG-1 that included guest appearances from both General Michael E. Ryan and himself. The audience went completely wild upon seeing General Jumper, sitting in the mock Oval Office discussing the fight against Anubis. It was so loud that you couldn´t hear what he was saying in the clip! Following the video clip, General Jumper formally introduced Richard Dean Anderson to a roaring standing ovation.

Looking a bit confused, Anderson took to the stage not quite knowing what to do. General Jumper began to speak his complimentary praises. He first presented him with a hand-carved eagle statuette, which represents the Air Force. He went on to say, "Colonel Jack O´Neill was recently promoted to the rank of Brigadier General. It´s about time, since he saves the world nearly every week! And in honor of that promotion," Jumper continued, "we are presenting Richard with this medallion and honorary General´s stars."

In the science fiction television show Stargate SG-1, Stargate Command (also known as the SGC), is located in the Cheyenne Mountain complex in Colorado. It houses the Stargate through which SG teams are sent to other worlds

[link to encycl.opentopia.com]

Today, Cheyenne Mountain is known as Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS). CMAFS is host to four commands: North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), and Air Force Space Command (AFSPC). CMOC serves as the command center for both NORAD and USNORTHCOM. It is the central collection and coordination center for a worldwide system of satellites, radars, and sensors that provide early warning of any missile, air, or space threat to North America.

Supporting the NORAD mission, CMOC provides warning of ballistic missile or air attacks against North America, assists the air sovereignty mission for the U.S. and Canada, and if necessary, serves as the focal point for air defense operations to counter enemy bombers or cruise missiles. In addition, CMOC also provides theater ballistic missile warning for U.S. and allied forces. In support of USSTRATCOM, CMOC provides a day-to-day picture of precisely what is in space and where it is located. Space control operations include protection, prevention, and negation functions supported by the surveillance of space.

CMOC is truly one of the most unusual installations in the world. Apart from the fact that it is housed 2,000 feet (600 m) underground, CMOC is also different from most military units because it is a joint and bi-national military organization comprised of over 200 professional men and women from the Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, and Canadian Forces. Operations are conducted in seven centers manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The centers are the Air Warning Center, Missile Warning Center, Space Control Center, Operational Intelligence Watch, Systems Center, Weather Center, and the Command Center.

In fiction
In the television series Stargate SG-1, Cheyenne Mountain is home to the fictional Stargate Command and houses a stargate under the control of the American government. It is the primary base of operations for the characters of the series.

In the television series "Jeremiah", Cheyenne Mountain has become Thunder Mountain, the primary post-apocalyptic community of the show.
