I live in America,if the economy collapse what would be betTer to have silver maples leafs or eagles?

Depends really.. Eagle's have a face value.. which would make trade easier.. but the face value is not nearly as valuable as the silver content is worth on the market. I've been buying 10 oz bars of silver rather than coins. I personally don't see much difference between the maples and eagles, silver is silver.. nobody cares about face value anymore.

In a collapse scenario.. I wouldn't be trading my silver for goods unless absolutely necessary. I'd hold long enough to have a good position on the market, sell at a good price while markets are still open, and get the tangible assets you REALLY need, food, water, firearms.

I might recommend the Buffalo rounds, no face value, just pure .999 silver rounds. Sure, they may not be accepted in an IRA.. but when TSHTF, who really cares about that? You won't be getting any money out of insurance or other investments.

When the party's over.. all you have is what's left in your cup. =)

you cant eat gold and silver coins and people wont have silver or gold to give you back change.....so its worthless....silver and gold is only good to preserve wealth and cash it back in when dust settles....in a crisis situation its worthless.

gold and silver will be used to barter here and there, but if people know you have it...you are in big trouble...

best things to use will be cigarettes, whiskey, all sizes, ammo and SEEDS....

SEEDS will be the new gold if a collapse happens....you can get them online...heirloom seeds....not the Monsanto garbage at home depot that only get you one good year of growth.

Does anyone find it odd that people are preaching that a crash is imminent and that gold and silver are gonna be worth 10,000 per ounce and silver 2000 per ounce......they also say US currency is about to be worthless any day now.

THEN they want you to buy all of their gold at 1200 per ounce and silver at 25 per ounce...and they want US currency for it....

if they truly believed what they say, they would be keeping it all for themselves and getting ready to bunker down.....i think they are creating a gold and silver bubble to cash in......

They will both be valuable in a situation when the currency is worthless (a collapse).

tshtf, you arent going to need to worry about silver. take the money you were going to invest in silver, and instead invest it in books. they will be your best friend.

farming, cultivation, storing, smoking
hunting, cleaning, smoking, curing,SKINNING
home repair, simple woodworking
sewing
edible wild plants is a MUST


silver is as useless today as it will be tomorrow. don't bother, shiny rocks are of little importance.

The city is the last place you'll want to be imho. If the general public is not aware of what is going on and starts panicking for food/water or whatever, they'll go to their neighbors first, and by force if necessary. The area will be so densely populated it could be a war zone
