I take a good multi-vitamin with plant sterols, olive leaf extract, bananas and superfood with spirulina every morning for breakfast. I try to eat some kind of raw fruit and veggie everyday and I try to avoid processed and fast foods, that's not always possible. I also cut down on sodas.

I wish more mods would do this. Good threads get lost so quick under such bullshit. Thx Phen!

I was going to post a thread on this but luke wasn't happy about a thread yestersday by some person so i thought we were staying away from med advice on GLP... but since this is pinned, what a coincidence!

So, any remedies for a bad strep throat infection... I would think that there is a lot for the throat, since it is an external organ in function.

Alum (sp?) is a pickling salt that works very well with getting rid of strep throat. I use this method with great success, just mix with water and gargle.

as a naturopath i do not recommend supplements. they are at best expensive placebos and at worst highly toxic.

op would be better off cutting out the bad stuff ie alcohol and tobacco than adding supplements.

I think clean food and water and not doing anything stupid is the cheapest and easiest way to stay healthy.

The definition of "clean food and water" varies highly... generally it is the least processed and toxified versions of what people have been eating for thousands of years... in other words, mostly cooked food in reasonable portions, mostly plants with some meat.

Also, for what it is worth, drink as much coffee as you can tolerate, caffeinated if possible, but natural decaf is ok too if you can't handle the caffeine.

Drink spring or well water. Do not drink or bathe with fluoridated municipal tap water. Avoid most bottled water.

Avoid all GMO foods.

Grow your own fruits and vegetables or buy them from friends who do. Ditto for eggs, poultry, beef and pork. Eat food as fresh as possible.

Also establish a regular sleeping schedule.

Organic Oil of Oregano is natures best antiviral. I take a few drops under the toungue morning and night when I feel a cold coming on. If my throat hurts, this seems to be the best remedy to help it get back to normal. This place looks like it sells some good stuff for the price, it's super concentrated nad organic like the $50 a bottle stuff. I think I am gonna try it when I get my next paycheck.

Good advice, but be careful not to chelate too fast, which can be hard on the kidneys. If you develop a lower back ache, know your kidneys are being overworked. Stop for a day or two, then resume with a lower dosage.

Parsley will also chelate, although it is not quite as potent as cilantro.

Chlorella is also an excellent chelating agent.
