RIO DE JANEIRO - A drug-resistant bacteria has claimed 18 lives in Brazil's capital region this year, local media reported Saturday.

The bacteria - Klebsiella pneumoniae Carbapenemase (KPC) - is resistant to most of the common antibiotics on the Brazilian market, the report said.

Infections in the capital area have hit 108 this year, of whom 18 patients have died, the reports said. In Sao Paulo, there have been more than 70 cases in the Hospital de Clinicas (HC) alone since 2008, the reports added.

Drug resistant bacteria and deaths from it has been around for a long time.
This is nothing new, when 1000's start dying at once then it will be a problem.

It's drug resistant because people don't know how to properly take medications...they stop taking their antibiotic when they feel better and don't finish the course...the few surviving bad bacteria then are given a chance to build a resistance to it...The wetbacks are doing that with TB...now we have super Tuberculosis that's drug resistant!
Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support!

Bacteria are very smart.

They will always figure out a way to neutralize DRUGS.

Having figured it out, they then communicate that knowledge to their bacteria buddies.

This can actually be observed taking place under the microscope.

But one thing they can never develop a resistance to is COLLOIDAL SILVER.

It will knock them dead every time.

And besides actually working, CS is cheap to produce and silver cannot be patented.

That's why it's spurned by the mainstream medical mafia.

There's no money in it for them.
