I still think this mission is a mistake. Gives me the creeps.
Thanks for the info, though! [link to www.cyberspaceorbit.com] |

Don´t know.

A Cometary ´Sneeze´
This movie of comet Tempel 1 is made up of raw images taken by the medium resolution imager on the Deep Impact spacecraft. The images were acquired between June 22 and June 24, 2005. A brightening by a factor of about 5 and a rapid decay to baseline brightness were observed on June 22. [link to www.cyberspaceorbit.com] |

Got to keep it simple for simple people like me!
In English, puleeze, did something hit it or did it go "pook"?
Interesting theory, A.C., about the impact already happening. I don´t put anything past anyone, anymore.

The aerial explosion of fragment G in the upper atmosphere of Jupiter is shown below. The explosion produced a brilliant blue-white flash of light that was a hundred of times brighter than the sun. The expanding bubble grew hundreds of times in volume. The plume of gas and debris towered to over 3,000 kilometers into the sky. Small black material floated on the top of Jupiter´s atmosphere and slowly settled down into the clouds. Over the months, the upper atmosphere winds distorted the shape to form a black belt.

"the antimatter comet was equal to over 200 million Megatons of TNT. If an antimatter fragments had hit the earth, the destructive plume would have been five times the diameter of the earth; and we would not be living on earth today."
[assuming the antimatter theory is correct, well, we do have the jupiter pics]

Question what would happen if matter simply began to approach antimatter....would we see preliminary outbursts and reactions? [link to www.cyberspaceorbit.com] |

Comets are not made of anti-matter, and if they were they´d be the brightest objects in the sky, since their reaction with dust, gas and solar wind would cause them to emit energy in just about all wavelengths from radio up to gamma rays.
Matter and anti-matter just can´t co-exist together, so any anti-matter in a comet would react almost instantaneously with normal matter, and the comets would have ceased to exist very early in the life of the solar system.
You also have to consider how anti-matter could have concentrated into cometary bodies during the growth of the solar system. Why would it be confined to comets? Why aren´t there any anti-matter planets?
The evidence is pretty overwhelming that comets, and Tempel-1 in particular, are not made of, and do not contain anti-matter. [link to www.cyberspaceorbit.com] |

Maybe so. I wonder what the astronomers at Plateau de Bure discovered about Bopp?
EMAIL, 7/12/99 1:47:07:
The list of the killed astronomers and service men is on the homepage of the Plateau de Bure Observatory. Did you know, that they are famous for their research about Hale Bopp? Maybe they found something about comets, that does not fit in NASA´s theory about their "dirty snowballs!" Especially they found complex molecules on Hale Bopp never seen before by NASA.
My old links on this have timed, but some info here:

So what happens when the 600 lb copper impacter smashes into the antimatter comet? Comet Temple will be sent spiraling out of control, and God knows what´s going to get in it´s way. [link to www.cyberspaceorbit.com] |
