This is why the ouija just doesn't work for some people, and same goes with tarot. By itself, it's cards with stuff on it. YOU make it work by incorporating it into your subconscious. If your subconscious mind is imbalanced, as in, filled with propensities and vrittis that are not conducive to your well being as an interconnective human, then yes, all soft technologies (everything you do) is dangerous. |

The Marseille decks of the past are archetypes of the Jesus and his teachings, some say the beatitudes, some say the passion. Either way, most of the knowledge was lost when the Cathars were all killed. The Magician, the Ace of Cups, The Hierophant, etc.. they all contain Christian imagery. Originally, they were a pictorial way to see the gospel, as literacy hadn't quite been widespread at the time. Apparently, they were a bit too "gnostic" for the pope, so he had everyone at that time in history burned. Around that time, Templars disappear and FreeMasonry pops up. Huh.. Go figure. Recently, to get back on topic, Christians have been coming back to the tarot, a beautiful way to meditate safely and in a Christian way. Start with this book, Meditations on the tarot, written by a Roman Catholic and endorsed by a Cardinal. My, how things change.. [link to www.amazon.com] Go get some! Explore learn, i promise you you won't be "possessed", unless you like to be possessed as Pentecostals do. they are less a divination tool and more a psychology lesson. The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. |

Usually it will say your gona meet someone, or come into money. It is of this world. so in a sense your accepting the bad that goes on in the world for a piece of good for yourself. Your basically loving this reality. Its not of Gods world if God is pure. You wont be needing things from this life in the next. |

Quoting: Richard EldritchI can see how Thoth cards could make a Christian nervous. I agree, that is why I like the historical Tarot de Marseille, and NOT the modern "fairy tarot" or "animal guides". This is more a historical thing for me Richard, an introduction to Western Christian esotericism. I barely use them in "game" style, meaning "doing readings" it is more for me an interpretation of the symbols and numerological qualities. Her dad had dabbled in the occult when she was very young and she suffered the consequences. I was a Christian and she was not,so I was able to make it leave for a while, but because she was not a christian it always came back. Stay away from the occult, you may harm others with your actions. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1224090 United States 02/01/2011 08:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everybody knows that Tarot cards and ouija boards WILL MAKE YOU SHIT BATS. Big furry bats with red eyes, yellow teeth and needle sharp whiskers. After a pack of wild bats has escaped your anus, then The devil aka "SATAN" will show up with Dick Cheney in your living room and drink all of your beer and liquor (probably smoke all your weed too) and START FUCKING AROUND WITH SHIT. How are you going to deal with those two and all of those shit bats flying around AT THE SAME TIME? You can't because Satan and Cheney DON'T GIVE A FUCK and THEY DON'T FUCKING LISTEN TO ANYBODY ANYWAY. So if you are going to break out that tarot deck, I would prepare yourself by keeping a tennis racket close by (for the bats), I would also stock up on single malt and cognac (For Satan and dick). Go ahead and smoke all of your weed before you even start, that way Dick Cheney won't puff your whole stash. |
