My dog has gotten out 4x now and every time it happens it ends up coming back on its own about 30 minutes later... I am almost convinced it just walks the path I take it for it's walk each day... I guess it figures "I wanna go for another walk. You won't take me huh? Fine I'll go myself."

Gotta love dogs.

It's horrid when the little blighters do that. My dog got out once, I laminated some posters and stuck them around the same night. Walked all over the place looking for him, many had seen him ( Rottweiler not hard to miss ) but were afraid to approach. Even had some footballers say he was sitting on the field watching their game.
Found him 3 days later in a pub car park.
We were all so elated.

Glad to here that Luna is safe. I have lived with 3 dogs and they brought to my life many happy memories. All 3 were Samoyed's. I recall one incident where Sampson took off after a dear. I looked for him for over three months. I finally found him at an animal shelter 45 miles away. If I was not diligent I would have never found him. He had been covered with burrs, which someone chopped off and he looked terrible. I was great to have him back. ~ One of the many adventures.
