Aussie was cool. I was present for the spectacle.

If it remember correctly i was studying for exams so it must have been around May, June or July.

Ah, the good 'ol days!

There hasn't been a whiff of doom since that comes anywhere near to Aussie Bloke!

Nothing happened.

A guy predicted that an asteroid or asteroids would impact the Earth on a given date, if i recall he provided impact zones and other stuff.

Didn't someone claim that it was a psychological test?

Been here well before Aussie Bloke. Still its been the best GLP doom scam in its history. As an aussie, you could see the inconsistencies pretty early, but boy did it take off.
I do like good fiction.

Yeah, so much has happened or to be more accurate not happened since.

The only thing that came remotely close to what he said, was the date and impact area coincided almost precisely with the date and area of the great Sumatra earthquake of 2004.

Funny thing about Aussie Bloke is I had never heard of GLP but all that Aussie Bloke doom made its way around the web. Thats when I first found out about GLP. Thanks Aussie Bloke!!!

I emailed the Australian guy that everyone thought was aussie bloke. :) He was so out of the loop and didnt understand anything I was talking about.. LOL gave him a link and he got in touch with someone else and said I am not one youre looking for.

The Aussie Bloke saga was a certain think tank planting info to monitor its flow around the net, its effect on people, and to identify people to profile.

As always, it was based on some truth, and the team planted corroborating info at other locations on the web, designed to 'feed into' the Aussie Bloke project.

That was certainly not the first or only Think Tank project using forums such as GLP or A T S.

I was here. It all started with the SNOWBALL NET recording.

I think if you google it you can find the original recording still, but here's the text:

Then Aussie Bloke appeared on the scene here on GLP to offer cryptic explanations and more data and it blew up into a huge thing that was discussed on pretty much every conspiracy website and radio show. And as someone said above, the frenzy dragged the lives of some real people into the discussion while everyone was furiously trying to figure out who the real Aussie Bloke was from the breadcrumb trail he was leaving.

I found GLP researching for something, but it had nothing to do with Aussie Bloke. My first week on GLP was the same week Aussie Bloke began. So real yet enough to think it wasn't the truth.

I got here the same way, about the same time. If memory serves me right, in the months before the aussie bloke thing, sightings.com (now rense.com) had linked to a few high-profile UFO threads here, and I visited and got intrigued and continued to visit. Very shortly after aussie bloke started. Like within 2 months.

Around this time, David Booth was making the rounds talking about his connection with some Sister Lucia, and the coming doom of Planet X. I remember I really believed it all back then because doom was so fresh and after 911 it seemed so real. Now David Booth is posing as Sorcha Faal and doom dates are just a joke -- boy do I long for those years when doom felt real.

I felt as though I was a character in a novel and didn't know the ending! It was though an incredible, awesome experience.

OMG the memories! For $29.99 a month...........
