The second-brand and generic label foods use the anonymous, untrackable foods that can't be traced to the source and a lot of that is from places like China where they contain who knows what. That's why a lot of the food poisoning in processed foods (like the peanut butter and cheese crackers that killed that toddler with salmonella) are always in off-brands like Austin crackers and not premium brands like Nabisco or Kraft.
