Veggies, fruits, beans and local meat/fish are still a good value. Stop eating processed over packaged garbage and your life will dramatically improve.

Sure, no problem, those of us who live paycheck to paycheck will spend $8.00 to $10.00 for "organic" beef.

We'll also jump on that $4.00 per pound carrot bunch too!

Kiss my ass. You best hope and pray that your food will be pristine when TSHTF you elitist prick.

Have to admit steak-umms really aren't that great. Good sandwich steak meat is %100 chopped ribeye. It does have a high fat content though. That's what makes it so good.

Some fat....OK....like 10-15%.....and that's makes for "Good Eats".

...but 64% FAT???

Would you eat a burger composed of 64% FAT content???

yak

Honestly, probably not. I buy the super lean, or second leanest ground beef at the super market.

I will occasionally have BK though. No Mickey D's.

BK burgers are bad for you.
You think that FLAME BROILED TASTE is from actual flame broiling?? :smlaugh:
(Hint: artificial flavors)

If you must eat fast food....Wendy's is best for being "REAL FOOD"....or maybe Taco Bell.
There may be others....but they certainly AREN'T Burger Krap and McPukes.

damned
 Quoting: Burt Gummer

Considering that I worked there as a kid and actually sent the burger through the broiler, yes I do believe they are flame broiled. Unless things have changed I would imagine they still do this. Their frozen burger patties were the same as most any other restaurant I have worked in.

Taco Bell's meat on the other hand came precooked in a bag frozen. The bag was boiled in a pot of water and then put on the line. That may have changed too, but I doubt it.

Same suppliers even. I can only say this from being on the backend. Accepting orders, rotating stock, cooking food....what have you.

#1, Don't put shit-food in your system. Ritz taste good and are an old stand-by cracker; but, don't eat shit that is made with hydrogenated oil.

#2, Learn to cook from scratch and buy whole grains, organic if possible.

#3, Learn to shop for the best deals and eat a lot less red-meat.

If you are taking medicines of any kind, you likely need to adjust your diet and learn about homeopathy and herbalism. Macrobiotics (see your library) is a system of eating primarily whole-grain sourced foods that functions to restore health and build your immune system. Worth a look. If you have any Korean, Japanese, or Chinese grocers/markets, many macro foods can be found there relatively inexpensively. Google "macrobiotics today" for magazine and website.

May as well eat food that nourishes and heals you, as well as also tastes good...

gas here in illinois is $2.88 where I'm at

milk is $2.69/gal

eggs are 99 cents/dozen

whole grain bread is $1.79/loaf

I live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford to only eat grain that was picked on the sunny side of the hill in the ozarks.

And to the german guy saying tbones are $40 in the supermarkets there, I'd love to eat organic meat but at that price they're insulting me.

I can see it now within 3 years...

Gallon of Milk $10.00Pack of smokes $15.00
Loaf of Bread $10.00
6 pack of Beer $15.00
Gallon of Gas $5.00
Bottled Water $5.00 per bottle
Eggs $5.00 a dozen

almost there.....

a gallon of skim and Organic milk at my local store (Super Target) is over $5.50....I know it costs more but I'd rather pay it than go for that "el cheapo" milk at Walmart just because the price is low...but honestly...when I checked for organic and skim milk there, it was over $3 bucks....so go figure
