I suggest you go read the FAT CONTENT of those Steak-Ums before buying next time.

You like paying $7.00 a lb for FAT and chemicals???
Try buying an actual sirloin tip and making your own.

A box of Cheez-It crackers is $2.49. A big carton of Goldfish cheese crackers is $4.99. I mix the cheese crackers with pretzels, peanuts and m&m's to make a snack mix.

Well, if the dollar keeps nose diving like it is right now, you can all enjoy huge increases in prices over the next couple of weeks. I have had to live on very little for a long while and it looks like it is going to get even worse (and NO, I will not stoop to dollar menu at Mickey D's because I can't even stand the smell of that place!).

FL Natural is shrinking the carton to 59 oz. this week here. They give you a great deal the first week ($2.00/carton) and then right back up to $3.00+ for less product. Looks like food is tied directly to gold.

Ezekiel bread is $8.99/loaf and milk-though I don't drink it-is $6.59gal. I'm into growing my own veggies but they are outrageous also.
 Quoting: AWhereness

$8.99 for Ezekiel bread?
$3.49 here at Kroger for it.
The organic milk (I don't use cow pus for cooking) is $3.50 for half a gallon. We don't use much milk, so it's worth the price.

You can get heirloom seeds for good prices at www.rareseeds.com. I've bought from them online. They're good :)

Nice thing about Ezekiel bread, it is a complete protein in vegetable form if you don't have meat. You can live off of one slice a day if need be. Tastes good. Especially with cashew butter on it. Or Hummus.

I see a box in my freezer encased in ice as it's been a year; I won't dare eat one Steak-umm. Throwing it out next week as I won't dare even give it to the dogs.

Have to admit steak-umms really aren't that great. Good sandwich steak meat is %100 chopped ribeye. It does have a high fat content though. That's what makes it so good.

Pork loin chop-thats not the premium cut, as most know.

$5.49 on sale-Kroger/Fred Meyer - Alaska Saw this tonight on the way home. I did score on five pound bags of King Arthur Flour-whole wheat-$3.99 each, yay!

Don't even get me started, most canned items-vegetables, soups, are around $2 each or a little more-not on sale. That evaporated milk we bakers use all the time (and most use around the holidays)? Over $2 a can. Same with chicken stock.

This is why I have a pantry-to take advantage of sales where possible.

No Aldis in the area I'm currently living to speak of.

In FL we had Aldi, Sav-A-Lot, and Price Buster's.

Aldi was probably the least sketchy.
