No wonder India is not pleased about this. Notice the date of the article. Seriously, the plane is based on 1950s technology, you would think the Chinese could, would, simply build their own version. Hell, there are enough of them around the world in foreign service, they could simply buy one and copy it. Something about this doesn't smell right [ link to www.ndtv.com] When it comes to metal - China doesn't really make anything worth a crap - and that is a fact You are correct. A bicycle mechanic here in the states had to explain to a sales rep. selling to the Chinese the basics of making decent nuts and bolts - what degrees etc...
