Social condition is not going to be good for enlightenment. Families can be your worst enemies. The legal and educational and religious systems won't help either. All these are fallen systems that do not know God or his way of doing things.

But you cannot just reject society and evil entities out of hand. Really you must learn the hard way that their ways just don't work. Remember it is the knowledge of good and evil that we need to make this journey. The church says the devil said this, but you think about it....

All the bad stuff has a purpose, so you must live in society until you are bored and sick of it, then you are ready for the sacred mountain.

The ancient Taoists lived in caves for many years. The Kogi Indians live in total darkness for months and years to make themselves quiet and sensitive to the smallest and weakest light. This is simply the kind of dedication it takes to hook up with the Sacred Rays. Casual experimenters need not apply.

Hermits can be good then, but each person needs to toggle back and forth with society and the ego and even evil to fully understand what is right and what is going to work for them. This is all about finding a way for you, based on real experience, not conjecture or someone else's rules.

It isn't a true challenge if somebody tells you step by step. I can't see God doing that as it defeats the mysterious tests he has already built into his path, like the dark night of the soul tests discussed earlier.
