Outer and inner troubles, crazy things just pop up whenever you make a positive shift, some are attacks, others diversions, others are just nuisance things. Meditators need to ready for anything. That is my advice.

Buddha's process is very meaningful to me. First he had to sort through the dumb ideas of his age, then Mara tried to scare the shit out of him. Yet I doubt Mara would use the same tricks twice. Mara will look for a weakness in you and exploit that like a chess master. But first Mara will convince you that you don't have that weakness.
