Men like it as there seems to be a never ending supply, beware ladies. Ladies look for other things like compatibility. Some of those on there only want one thing anyhow and can use it when they are bored.

The world has more options now and you do not have to hook up with someone down the street anymore, to some that maybe bad but to others it maybe great. The local guys are not going to get the girl everytime any longer. Yet they can also access the internet.

Most try it at least once but I know people that said that they do not like it after trying it and got off. It kind of is like a business deal in a way, advertising yourself, etc.

This is my first post to a very easy question , life is short and connections are important , we live in a time where soul mates are mocked as myths with no longer respected from the life media tv friends and family with over stated opinions that doubt even the most confident . I get horny but yeh imm a 26 year old dude from a small town so when i find my self answering this i shoulda sed summin no one specially the original poster can deny mystery nervousness and not knowin whats round the corner is the thrill we are robbed by daily , so judge all u want if u find yourself unagreeable but not everyoe can tolerate the perfect relationship they show on the surface or put up with the bad habits of there other half . Im single and its best that way for me just now but whats the point in life if u cant connect or be subject to your own inabitions

Because if you're looking for a serious relationship (and even if you're not) it's easier to find someone you're compatible with through a dating/match site rather than relying on pure luck that you'll "run into your soulmate" in the middle of a club down the street from your house. If you think about it, the odds that you'll meet someone you want to spend the rest of your life with in some random encounter at the grocery store are staggering.

I actually met my wife this way, and everything's been great ever since. The odds of us running into each other in real life in any way, much less having a conversation as complete strangers, and hitting it off enough to actually date are effectively zero.

Frankly, I don't know why everyone doesn't use them all the time...

agree with one of the above posters - it's a great alternative to the random chance of meeting someone worthy on the street. i met my wife on match.com and we've built ourselves a wonderful family.

but let's be honest, it's also a motherfucking fantastic way to get laid. holy schnykees!! so much ass, so little time. especially if you happen to make a decent living, because you can disclose your income level on there if you want. doing that is like a freaking magnet for poonani. when i was making bank as a mortgage broker, i literally had a date with a different girl every night of the week. trying to remember each of their names and their "stories" was driving me insane.

luckily i found a good one and married her right as the market crashed and i joined the ranks of the dirt-poor. but yeah, it's a great way to get laid AND to get hitched. pure win.
